1. The Assistant Beadle/Facilities Manager

About Us

The Worshipful Company of Haberdashers’ is a Great XII Livery Company of the City of London, with a rich history dating from 1371.  Today, the Company’s principal activity is the support of the education of 12,000 pupils in 19 Haberdashers’ schools.  Additionally, the Company makes significant charitable grants in support of education and young people, and manages a property and investment portfolio.  The home of the Company is Haberdashers’ Hall, a striking building in the City of London.  It is where the work of the Company is conducted by a small team of fifteen staff, and where members of the Company meet for the purposes of both conducting Company business and meeting in fellowship at social events.  The Company also partners with Graysons Restaurants to let the Hall as a premier venue for events in the City.

The Role

The role is key to the smooth and efficient running of Haberdashers’ Hall such that it provides a home for the members of the Company and its staff, and an inspiring venue for events.  The scope of the role is varied and multi-faceted

2. Grants and Office Administrator, City of London

The Role

There are two main areas to the role.

  • Grants administration
  • The timely and efficient administration of all grants across the Company’s grant-making foundations in collaboration with the Director for Charities and the Chair of the Charities Committee
  • Office administration
  • The effective delivery of general office administration including support to the PA to the Master & Clerk and Membership & Education Secretary.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is an exceptional administrator, ready to contribute to the smooth running of the grants and office function of the Company. You will be proactive in your approach to work, an enthusiastic team player with the ability to prioritise different workflows as appropriate. You will be a great communicator, both written and oral, and have solid IT skills including database management. You will be joining a hardworking and motivated office team and your positive attitude to work is vital. You will also be sensitive to the ethos of a membership organisation which values its long and rich history, while having a clear 21st century attitude.
