On City Giving Day 2022 1 Lord Mayor, 1 Master, 1 Clerk, a bunch of Haberdashers and several staff cycled a total of 327km on two static bicycles.
To all who donated as part of the Haberdashers’ first involvement in the Lord Mayor’s City Giving Day: thank you! £6,000 was raised for some incredible youth charities.
Not only did the participants smash the original target to cycle a distance of 144.8km, they also smashed the fundraising target of £5,000.
The £6,000 will be split four ways, between three transformational youth charities and the Haberdashers’ Foundation.
Construction Youth Trust, EY Foundation and XLP are all thrilled to receive an injection of funds, and they all enjoyed some additional social media coverage on the day.
‘As XLP, all of what we do is to go the extra mile to support disadvantaged young people across the City of London. Collectively, you managed to go the extra 327km for young people.
‘Your pedalling power means that you will have supported/sponsored a young person through all our programmes for 365 days of the year, to help them achieve a positive future. Thank you’. Tim Sledge, XLP
