Queen Elizabeth II Citizenship Awards 2025

An impressive group of Year 13 students came to Haberdashers’ Hall last week, each a recipient of the recently established Queen Elizabeth II Citizenship Awards.

Chosen by their school staff they were celebrated for exemplifying the Queen’s selfless and loyal service, her tolerance and kindness, whether within their family or community, to their school or to a cause or charity for which they volunteer.

Each student was recognised with a grant of £150, and £250 went to charities they had carefully selected. Charities included a local community project for families (Little Stars, Telford) and a charity that supports children of those in the armed forces (Scotty’s Little Soldiers).

The citations for each student demonstrated what impressive young people they are, with adjectives such as integrity, leadership, collaboration, kindness and perseverance featuring in each one.

The Master reminded the students that with integrity and kindness they would each go far. Congratulations to Lucy, Ben, Teddie, Gideon, Oyin, Lois, Dylan, Victoria and Lois.

Thanks to Claire Kennedy, member of the Freedom, for her support to each student as they selected their charities.
