An evening of ‘Connection’

COMPANY NEWS

Last month we held our annual Young Haberdashers’ and Scholars’ Networking Reception at Haberdashers’ Hall.

This year’s theme was ‘connection’ with two young members, Joe Sullivan (Haberdashers’ Adams Alumnus) and Temi Erinle (Haberdashers’ Elstree Girls Alumna) sharing their thoughts on this with our guests.

The event is an example of the breadth and depth of the Haberdasher community. It is always a great opportunity for past scholars to catch up with old friends, and for our new cohort of Habs scholars to meet some new faces and to recognise that they will continue to be part of the Habs family long beyond their school days.

We have a saying in our community: “Once a Haberdasher, always a Haberdasher” and Oli Gill, past scholarship recipient and Haberdashers’ Monmouth School Alumnus explains this so well: “It is an honour to represent The Haberdashers’ Company in this regard on a year-on-year basis, especially coming back to it with another year of university under my belt; with clearer ambitions about my future in the financial services industry. Having these ambitions allows me to network effectively with these likeminded professionals, and discuss in great lengths a clear pathway of entry into one of the most demanding and challenging industries in the UK.”
