The Haberdashers' Company

Being a Haberdasher

Whether it’s the Master or one who is just starting their Haberdasher journey as an Apprentice, every member plays an important role within the Company.

The Haberdashers’ Company is a proud members’ organisation. Our 1,000+ strong membership is drawn from a diverse range of backgrounds, from former alumni of Haberdasher schools, to professionals across a wide range of industries and sectors.

There are three routes of admission into the Company. The first is through Apprenticeship, the second through family connections or Patrimony, and the third is through skill set or Redemption.

Whatever one’s route into the Company, our members are united by a desire to give back.

Haberdashers have always believed in leaving the world in a better place, playing a fundamental role in our ability to deliver on our purpose of “empowering young people from every background to fulfil their potential”.

Our members see the Company as a framework for giving back in a multitude of ways. Their commitment—through time, skill sharing, and financial support—enables us to add value to the communities we work with in England and Wales.
